Initially I planned to post something different today, but the more I thought about it over breakfast, I realised it would make more sense for a Monday post. Consequently, I needed to change this one up, but still wanted to keep it fairly light as I try to do on Fridays.
Yesterday, Jessica Hagy over at This Is Indexed posted this and it slowly connected itself to Coffeespoons.

Most posts I write over breakfast. Always have. Not all of them, to be clear. Some of the very long ones are Breakfast+ posts, but the vast, vast majority are written with oatmeal, eggs, bagels, toast, &c. at one side of my laptop and a cup of breakfast tea at the other.
You—more me, to be honest—could argue Coffeespoons is an integral part of my morning routine. A habit. Hagy titled her piece “When you’ve done it like 10,000 times, it looks easy.”
So I checked, and this should make post no. 2,207. In other words, I am a little more than 1/5 and a little less than 1/4 of my way to 10,000 posts. Given that I have been blogging about information design and data visualisation since the end of 2009, let’s call that roughly 15 years. If I keep Coffeespoons going for roughly another 45 years, I will be close to being an expert in Coffeespoons posting and making it look easy.
Happy Friday, all.
Credit for the piece goes to Jessica Hagy.
