I watch very little television, nor would I consider myself an avid streamer of content. Recently, however, I did have occasion to watch some without the benefit of ad blockers and I forgot how much I despise adverts. Admittedly, that is a terrible thing to say as a designer, because design significantly overlaps with advertising. And with something like 2/3 of US GDP driven by consumer spending, that means a lot of adverts driving a lot of consumer purchases.
But because adverts often rely on emotions, they can make you feel things. And think things.

Beware the evil adverts.
