This past weekend, Philadelphia hosted the Broad Street Run, a 10-mile run from the “top” of the city’s Broad Street in the north to the end at the bottom in the Navy Yard, a length of—you guessed it—10 miles.
And congratulations to my sister for not just running it for the first time, but completing it. Her big brother could not be prouder of her.
The Philadelphia Inquirer published an article visualising the spread of time results for the last several years’ worth of runners, times spanning 45 minutes to 4 hours. It used five definitely not-related to sports mascots names to represent the quintiles of those results to show the spectrum.

Personally, I wish the graphic showed more of the data and information about the course, even if it is basically a straight line. But, still, a pretty neat visual.
