Messi. Messy. Get it?
The World Cup continues across North America, including in my own hometown of Philadelphia. Argentina has not played in the city, but even here in Philadelphia, you could hear of Lionel Messi’s scoring three goals—a hat trick—against Algeria a little more than a week ago. Messi, the famous Argentinian footballer, then scored two more this week.
I did not expect it, but xkcd created a comic featuring a chart and Messi’s performance.
xkcd is not wrong. Even if this week’s second match dropped the goals per match metric down to 2.5 from 3.
Regardless, we have reached the weekend. And Argentina plays Jordan tomorrow, Saturday night. So who knows? Maybe we have to update the chart for Monday.
